In 2005, Timothy Waltz retired from the Minnesota National Guard. This is weird. It is weird because the field artillery unit he was assigned had received a mobilization alert for a combat deployment to Iraq.
During my years in the Army Reserve, I served the additional duty as the battalion mobilization officer. The regulations state that once a “mob alert” is received, all pending enlistment contract expirations, all forthcoming retirements, and officer commission resignations are null and the service member’s obligation is extended until the unit returns to home station. How was Waltz able to duck out or chicken out of going into harm’s way with the subordinates and leaders that relied on him? Either way it was with “fowl” intent.
The New York Post on Aug. 13: “National Guard vet claims Walz went above him to secure retirement: ‘He knew I would have told him, ‘Suck it up.’ … Tim Walz falsely claimed he carried weapons ‘in war’ in a resurfaced clip: ‘Absolutely false.’ … ‘Tim Walz left National Guard battalion ‘hanging,’ ‘slithered out the door’ before Iraq deployment — (say) vets. … ‘Tim Walz [is] a coward and [a] traitor for retiring from military before Iraq, says Guardsman who replaced VP pick.”
Provisional promotion. This is also weird. Waltz touted himself as a command sergeant major, yet for whatever reason he did not complete the Sergeants Major Academy.
Gov. Waltz was tough on the law-abiding citizens but accommodating to thugs. Walz instituted a hotline that allowed Minnesotans to snitch on each other for violating social-distancing protocols in the early days of the Wuhan hysteria.
Also in The New York Post: Waltz and Mayor Jacob Frey ordered the Minneapolis police to aggressively enforce the curfew imposed during the George Floyd riots. Shocking video shows cops shooting paintballs at residents as they stood on porches and in their doorways: https://nypost.com/2024/08/13/us-news/cops-enforcing-tim-walzs-curfew-shot-residents-with-paintballs-video/
Ironically weird, as Gov. Waltz ends up as commander-in-chief of the Minnesota National Guard. In stark contrast to Waltz’s draconian police abuse of law-abiding citizens he allowed the hoodlums of ANTIFA and BLM to reign for three days, committing arson (of the mostly peaceful variety) and wanton destruction before activating the National Guard while simultaneously ordering the police to stand down and abandon their posts. (I recommend viewing the investigative documentary “The Fall of Minneapolis” @ https://www.thefallofminneapolis.com/)
There is so much weirdness here you get egg roll: “Mr. Walz has visited China 30 times, served as a fellow at a Chinese institution that maintains a devotion to the CCP, and spoke alongside the president of a Chinese organization that the State Department exposed as a CCP effort to influence and co-opt local leaders,” said U.S. Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.)
Like Bernie’s Moscow honeymoon (https://www.chinatalk.media/p/tim-walz-on-china) Walz and the missus had their post nuptial va-cay in CHY-na (it was huge!).
Meanwhile, back in the swamp, the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability issued a press release on Aug. 16. Chairman Comer is launching an investigation into Walz following reports detailing the governor’s alleged longstanding connections to Chinese Communist Party entities and officials. In a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray, Chairman Comer is requesting information, documents and communications related to the CCP-connected entities and officials Gov. Walz has engaged and partnered with, as well as any warnings or advice the FBI may have given to Gov.Walz about U.S. political figures being targeted by or recruited for CCP influence operations.
I guess it’s all about how you define “weird.”
