With 12,484-foot Hayden Peak in the western flank of the High Uintas looming in the background, Utah Department of Transportation crews made it over Bald Mountain Pass on S.R 150 Wednesday afternoon. It's been slow going this season for the UDOT teams. They encountered 4 to 8 feet of heavy compacted snow along the higher elevations of Mirror Lake Highway. The road remained closed of Friday afternoon until it could be completely cleared.
