The Park City Police Department in mid-August received a series of reports of hit-and-run accidents, including one that apparently involved a vehicle hitting a house in Old Town.

Public police logs provided limited information about the cases. The logs usually provide few details about hit-and-run cases given the nature of the reports.

The recent cases included:

  • On Sunday, Aug. 18, at 2:12 p.m., a hit-and-run traffic accident was reported somewhere along Park Avenue.
  • On Friday, Aug. 16, at 4:43 p.m., a hit-and-run accident was reported in the area of the intersection of Park Avenue and Deer Valley Drive. The damage occurred the previous week, the police were told.
  • On Wednesday, Aug. 14, at 1:26 p.m., a hit-and-run traffic accident was reported on Deer Valley Drive. Public police logs indicated the victim’s vehicle is an Acura while the other vehicle is apparently a Nissan. The damage occurred 15 minutes prior to the police report.
  • On Tuesday, Aug. 13, at 4:52 p.m., a hit-and-run traffic accident was reported along S.R. 248 at Quinn’s Junction.
  • On Monday, Aug. 12, at 3:17 p.m., the police received a report about a hit-and-run case on Woodside Avenue. A driver “ran into” a house before driving away from the scene, the police were told. The vehicle was a white truck, the police were told.
