How to peacefully deal with the turkey poop problem: Park City residents are great with community “roll our sleeves up” participation.
Turkeys love bird seed. Let’s create a nice trail of bird seed going to Kamas and the Unitas so the turkeys can live out their lives peacefully without human interference.
I have participated in wonderful community trash pickups. Instead of picking up trash, let’s create a birdseed trail from Solamere to the Unitas. This could be a fun weekend project. We could design T-shirts and turkey sun hats for the event with refreshments along the route. (These could also be worn for that special family holiday in November.)
The end of the weekend could culminate in a turkey BBQ. Maybe The Market at Park City could donate some turkey legs and BBQ sauce? This event could be the social event of the year! Perhaps a famous resident and Park Record columnist with the first name of Tom (a tom is a male turkey) could start us off!
