It has been said the a whole month for “Pride” is excessive. I agree! One day for veterans but 30 for pride? Come on, man!

When businesses create Pride marketing displays to push their products or services such Bud Light, Target, 5 Seeds, or 5 Husbands distillery, I have no objections as it’s valuable to know where not to spend my money.

However, it’s very concerning when government assumes the part of promoter. Examples of government promotion of Pride are numerous on the local level. Public transportation is adorned with rainbow graphics and slogans. The county council and the governor have signed Pride proclamations. Behavior in parades that otherwise would result in civil citation or arrest are suspended without lawful authority. Refer to California state Sen. Scott Wiener’s assessment of a street fair during the San Francisco Pride parade.

My chief disagreement with the left is that they monopolize tolerance and force it to be a one-way street. Heck, they even declared No U Turn signs to be homophobic.

Imagine if June was declared MAGA Month and public transportation was festooned vehicle wrap with images of Donald Trump and the slogan “Get on the Trump Bus!” I’m all in for LGTBQ (“Let’s Get Trump Back Quickly”).
