I am a 50-year resident of Park City. I received the Wednesday Park Record and saw that the president of the United States would be visiting our town for a fundraiser. I picked up the paper and started to read the front page article with a picture and headline, “President Biden arrives for fundraiser” (Online, Aug. 9: “President Biden travels to Park City area this week, prompting message to ‘Keep your hands off Utah‘”). The front-page part of the article read like a political ad for Bruce Hough, a Republican running for Congress in the 2nd Congressional District.
You would think that the Park Record staff would want to have a more welcoming approach to our community at least on the front page and be honored about this visit. Let’s be more inclusive as a community and with our historic Park Record.
