Each year, Park City High School students, faculty, and town residents and visitors gather at the Sweetheart Gala to raise money for the PCHS Music Department and to recognize the talent of its participants.
This tradition is a momentous event, as it is the largest fundraiser of the year for the high school’s music department.
This year also marks the 17th event, and it will run from 6-10 p.m., on Friday, Feb. 9, in the Grand Hall at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 1505 White Pine Canyon Rd.
Although the event’s general tickets are sold out, a waitlist is available. In addition, tickets to a standing-room-only Speakeasy at the Gala are available for $30 per person. Ticket-holders will be able to enjoy dessert and dancing, starting at 8 p.m.
To purchase Speakeasy SRO tickets, and be added to the Gala waitlist, email pc.bands.sweetheartgala@gmail.com.
Not to be confused with the Winter Formal, which raises money for the school as a whole, the Sweetheart Gala specializes in shining a spotlight on the school’s music department.
Allora Catering Events will prepare the three-course meal, which will be served by music department students. This meal will be accompanied by a cash bar and an opportunity drawing.
Families, colleagues, friends and couples can dance together to the music of the award-winning Park City High School Varsity Jazz Ensemble, as well as performances from the orchestra and band ensembles.
