Park City Mountain Resort, as of Tuesday, Dec. 12, is reporting no new snow for a leveled depth of 20 inches, operating with 8 lifts open and 49 runs. Friday, Dec. 15 will be the resort’s Benefit Day where lift tickets are only $20 per person to help raise funds for the Park City Historical Society and Museum. Tickets must be purchased by Dec. 14. As of Tuesday, Dec. 12, the following Utah ski resorts are open and scheduled to open weather permitting: Alta is reporting a 46-inch snow base with 95 runs and 7 lifts open; Beaver Mountain, Dec. 15; Brian Head is reporting 27 inches of snow with 6 runs and 3 lifts open; Brighton is reporting a 44-inch snow base with 58 runs and 6 lifts open; Powder Mountain is reporting 29 inches of snow with 9 runs and 2 lifts open.; Snowbasin is reporting a 31-inch snow base with 37 runs and 5 lifts open; Snowbird is reporting 43 inches of snow with 83 runs and 9 lifts open; Solitude is reporting a 32-inch snow base with 23 runs and 8 lifts open; Sundance is reporting 34 inches of snow with 10 runs and 3 lifts open; and Wolf Mountain is reporting a 21-inch snow base with 7 runs and 3 lifts open.
Cross-country skiing

Wasatch-Cache National Forest
Mirror Lake Highway, S.R. 150, is now closed at mile marker 14 at Soapstone Basin. All campgrounds are currently closed and the ranger district is waiting for enough snowfall to start grooming cross-country trails. For more information, contact the Kamas Ranger District at (435) 783-4338.
Utah Avalanche Center
The Utah Avalanche Center, as of Tuesday, Dec. 12, is reporting mostly moderate avalanche danger for the Ogden, Salt Lake and Park City mountains on steep, upper-elevation slopes with recent deposits of wind-drifted snow. The danger will be on the rise if more snow accumulates. Out of wind-affected terrain, the danger is low.
