U.S. Ski and Snowboard athlete wins another ESPY

U.S. Ski and Snowboard para athlete Brenna Huckaby won her second ESPY award last Thursday. Huckaby won the “Best Athlete with a Disability” award, coming off her strong 2023-24 campaign. In that season, Huckaby won seven World Cups in para snowboard cross and para banked slalom competitions. “We are thrilled to see Brenna win her second ESPY,” said Sophie Goldschmidt, President and CEO of U.S. Ski & Snowboard. “Brenna is a champion of para sport and a role model for so many on and off the snow. We are lucky to have athletes like her in our organization, and I’m excited to see what is to come for her heading into a World Championship season.” 

The MARC’s women’s beginner mountain biking clinics kicks off Thursday

The MARC’s women’s beginner mountain biking clinics are kicking off Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. The clinics will run Tuesdays and Thursdays until July 30. Small groups of riders will learn techniques and how to improve. The MARC will also hold intermediate clinics from July 30 to Aug. 6. 

Woodward to host another beer yoga event Thursday

Woodward Park City will be hosting another beer yoga event Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. Participants can enjoy Squatters and Wasatch Brewery beer and practice yoga while meeting new people. Enlighten Wellness instructors will teach the class. Admission to the event is free, but beer and food costs money. The yoga will begin at 6 p.m. on the grass by their chairlift, and the beer and socializing is slated to begin at 7 p.m. 

Deer Valley to host another Brews and Tunes event Saturday

Deer Valley Resort will be hosting another Brews and Tunes event Saturday from noon to 2:30 p.m. At Snowshoe Tommy’s atop Bald Mountain, guests can enjoy beers, live entertainment and takeaway food. A lift ticket is required to access the event. Deer Valley will be holding these events every Saturday until Sept. 7.
