Ski Club’s Springer Tournee hosting large hill competition Saturday
The Park City Ski and Snowboard Club will host the large hill competition event of their Springer Tournee Saturday night at the Utah Olympic Park. Ski jumpers will be flying from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tickets will be $20 for patrons age 13 and up, while children 12 and under can attend for free. Salt Lake City band Theoretical Blonde will play the event, and there will also be food trucks and beer on tap. The competition will cap off the 25th Springer Tournee, which has featured a week of ski jumping and Nordic combined training, mentorship and competitions.
Flying Aces return to the UOP this weekend
The Flying Aces aerials shows return to the Utah Olympic Park Friday and Saturday nights. Patrons will see Olympic and national team aerialists soar up to 60 feet in the air before landing in the UOP pool. The shows will run from 6:30 to 7 p.m. each night. Tickets are $20 a person, with a four-pack available for $70. The Flying Aces will soar at the UOP through Labor Day weekend.
Woodward will host second Summer Race Series event
Woodward Park City will host their second Summer Race Series event next Thursday. All riders ages seven and up are welcome, with tickets costing $5 for members and $25 for non-members. The race trail will be unique to this event and released the day of. There will be refreshments and awards handed out after the race. The racing divisions are men and women ages 7-9, 10-13, 14-17 and 18 and up. Top-three finishers in each division will take home an award and Woodward merchandise.
