December 27, 1939 – November 23, 2023
Larry passed away on Thanksgiving day, after a brave battle with myelofibrosis and acute leukemia.
Larry was born and raised in Phoenix Arizona. He attended college at University of Arizona and dental school at Northwestern in Chicago. He spent 4 years in the Airforce and launched a career as a dentist in Scottsdale Arizona. Larry had many interests and was involved in the start up of several restaurants, owned a student loan business, and even worked for a time with the FBI. He was a pilot and flight instructor.
Larry loved life, especially spending time with family and friends who loved his smile, laughter, and “never quit” attitude. He had 2 sons and 4 grandchildren whom he adored.
The love of nature and the mountains brought Larry and his wife Kim, to Utah where he tried and enjoyed every outdoor activity Park City had to offer. He volunteered in Ambassadors and was marshal of Fourth of July parade many years ago. He also served as president of Park City Mountain Sports Club. He was a past board member at Jeremy Ranch Golf Club.
Many thanks to all the friends with whom he experienced those activities. The shared dinners, concerts, hikes, ski days, and golf games made his time in Park City the best!
Sincere thanks to Mark Firth MD, Christine Sullivan RN, and Mike Rigby LCSW of Applegate Hospice who helped Larry through the end of his life. They helped us with the very difficult task of saying goodbye to a most amazing husband, father, and friend.
