Deer Valley Resort announced their inaugural Mountain Pride Day, which will celebrate Pride Month with a “vibrant and inclusive event,” according to a press release. 

Mountain Pride Day is scheduled for Sunday, June 30, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The family-friendly celebration will take place on the resort’s Silver Lake lawn, mid-mountain. 

“Guests are invited to experience a day at Deer Valley filled with festivities, entertainment, and community spirit,” the release said. “Mountain Pride Day is an open event designed to foster togetherness and support for the LGBTQ+ community.” 

Deer Valley also announced it will donate 30% of all lift ticket sales on Mountain Pride Day to Summit Pride, formerly known as the Park City LGBTQ+ Taskforce, a community organization that works to sustain and amplify LGBTQ+ inclusivity in the Wasatch Back, aiming to ensure everyone feels a sense of belonging.

Mountain Pride Day event highlights will include the following:

  • Onsite LGBTQ+ nonprofits
  • Live music from DJ Bentley 
  • Outdoor activities:
    • Mountain biking and hiking with normal resort operations ongoing from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. 
    • Free yoga session on the Silver Lake Lawn at 10:30 am provided by Enlighten Wellness of Park City. Must bring your own mat.
    • Group Pride Ride down Holy Roller from the top of Sterling Express Chairlift at 1:30 p.m.
