Heber Valley will host its second annual Gordon Law Group Red, White, and Blue Festival on Thursday, July 4, from dawn till dusk.
The festival will include a hot air balloon display, 10k and 5k races, a bike parade, chuckwagon breakfast, sidewalk chalk art contest, live music and more.
“The Red, White, and Blue Festival embodies the essence of community unity and national pride,” remarked Dallin Koecher, executive director of the Heber Valley Chamber, Tourism, and Economic Development office. “We are honored to extend a warm invitation to all to join us in commemorating our nation’s independence in the heart of Heber Valley.”
The schedule of events is as follows:
- 6:30 a.m.: Hot air balloon rides at Heber Airport
- 7 a.m.: Flag presentation
- 7 a.m.: 10K and 5K races
- 7:15 a.m.: Plane fly-over
- 8 a.m.: Flag ceremony
- 8 a.m.: Breakfast by Heber Valley Rotary
- 8 a.m.-3 p.m.: Sidewalk art
- 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m.: Freedom Train, Heber Valley Railroad
- 8 a.m.-4 p.m.: Plein Air Exhibit, Midway
- 8:30 a.m.: Family-friendly Patriotic Walk
- 10 a.m.-2 p.m.: Live entertainment
- Noon: Free lunch, Heber City
- 1-4 p.m.: Carnival
- 1-9 p.m.: Heber Market on Main
- 2-5 p.m.: Competitions
- 5-9 p.m.: Outdoor concerts
- 10 p.m.: Fireworks over Heber Valley
