February Break
The February Break for the Park City School District, the Park City Day School and the Weilenmann School of Discovery is scheduled from Monday, Feb. 18 through Friday, Feb. 23, including the elementary schools, middle school, junior high school and high school. Regular school hours will resume on Monday, Feb. 25.
Montessori Enrollment
Soaring Wings International Montessori School will open its new campus on the northeast corner of Hwy 224 & Old Ranch Road August 2013 and is now accepting enrollment applications for the ’13/’14 school year. Soaring Wings is a private school for children from prenatal through ninth grade and has been educating students in Park City, Utah since 1987. www.soaringwings.org
Register for the April ACT
Registration is now open for the April 13 administration of the ACT college and career readiness exam, according to College Board. Students who want to take the exam on this date must register by March 8. Students can register online at www.actstudent.org or by mail. Paper registration forms can be obtained from school counselor offices or by requesting a registration packet from ACT, the release continued. Students must submit a photo of themselves to register for the exam. The ACT includes four multiple-choice tests in English, mathematics, reading and science, and takes roughly three hours, plus breaks, to complete. An optional writing test is also available. Students who want to take the writing portion should register for the ACT Plus Writing. The test costs $35, $50.50 for the ACT Plus Writing.
