Officers put down deer apparently injured by a car
Police officers destroyed an injured deer on Saturday, April 1 at 8:43 p.m., finding the animal struggling at the intersection of Kearns Boulevard and Homestake Road.
Someone reporting that the deer was on the side of the road called the police to the scene. It appeared that a vehicle had hit the deer, according to the police.

On Sunday, April 2 at 1:04 p.m., the police received a complaint about a barking dog on the 2300 block of Calumet Circle. An officer arrived and told the dog’s owner to bring the animal inside.
The police arrested a man on a drunken-driving charge at 9:44 p.m. on the 1700 block of Sidewinder Drive. The arrest was made after the police received a complaint that the person was possibly intoxicated.
At 10:12 p.m., the police were told that an apartment on the 1500 block of Empire Avenue appeared to have been burglarized.
On Saturday, April 1 at 4:30 p.m., the police arrested a man on a charge of retail theft on the 1800 block of Park Avenue.
The police at 2:28 p.m. received a complaint that four people took snowmobiles for joyrides on the 9200 block of Marsac Avenue.
Officers received a complaint that skis were stolen on 1300 block of Lowell Avenue at 4:56 p.m. The police said the skis are valued at more than $200.
Two men were reportedly throwing snowballs at a cab on the 300 block of Main Street at 1:28 a.m.
On Friday, March 31 at 10:26 p.m., the police intervened in a dispute on the 200 block of Main Street. The police were told that a bouncer assaulted a man. However, apologies were made and no charges were filed, according to the police.
A hit-and-run traffic accident was reported on the 200 block of Heber Avenue at 6:18 p.m.
Officers received a complaint that skis were stolen on the 2200 block of Deer Valley Drive at 6:39 p.m. The skis are valued at more than $200, the police said.
Graffiti was reported on the 100 block of Heber Avenue at 12:25 p.m.
The police received a complaint at 10:53 a.m. that a motor for a hot tub was stolen on Racquet Club Drive.
Officers cited a person in Park City at 10:39 a.m. for allegedly selling a tobacco product to a minor.
The police said nobody was injured when a Cadillac reportedly ran off the road onto a lawn at the intersection of S.R. 224 and S.R. 248.
On Thursday, March 30 at 2:05 p.m., the police received a complaint that five young people on the 700 block of Main Street smelled like they were smoking marijuana. When officers arrived, they were unable to find anyone, though.
A person called the police at 9:34 a.m. reporting they found a laptop computer in a garage on the 1200 block of Empire Avenue. An officer located the computer’s owner, who said he had thrown it away because it was old.
On Wednesday, March 29, the police received a report that skis were stolen on the 1300 block of Lowell Avenue. The police said the skis are valued at more than $200.
On Tuesday, March 28, officers found a stranded driver at the intersection of Kearns Boulevard and Park Avenue. The person’s car had run out of gasoline, the police indicated. Officers pushed the vehicle to the side of the road and took the driver for gas.
The police were called to Park City High School at 12:17 p.m. after a truant student was reported. But the officers found an adult, who was told not to return.
The police received a complaint at 11:08 a.m. that someone broke into a vehicle on the 1500 block of Kearns Boulevard. The police said between $50 and $200 in items was involved.
On Monday, March 27 at 5:31 p.m., jewelry was reported stolen on the 1400 block of Park Avenue.
At 1:14 p.m., someone reported an assault in a bar on the 300 block of Main Street. The incident occurred early in the morning, the police were told.
A BB was reportedly shot through a window on the 1900 block of Prospector Avenue at 11:37 a.m.
At 1:33 a.m., graffiti was reported at the China Bridge parking garage.
