On Sunday, Aug. 11, at 4:56 p.m., a person was suspected to be intoxicated at a Lowell Avenue business. The business requested police assistance.
The Police Department at 9:57 a.m. received a report of a vehicle with a trailer that was purple in color attempting to run another driver off S.R. 224. The person who contacted the police indicated the incident occurred five minutes prior to the report and said they no longer could see the other vehicle.
Someone on Kearns Boulevard contacted the police at 4:05 a.m. indicating people were “setting off” what may have been fireworks. There was a lot of noise, the police were told. The person also said the people may have been in the area of the Park City Cemetery on Kearns Boulevard. The police classified the case as suspected disturbing the peace.
On Saturday, Aug. 10, at 5:36 p.m., an officer stopped a driver on S.R. 224, indicating the vehicle was traveling at 70 mph in a location where the posted speed limit is 45 mph. The officer issued a citation.
A traffic accident was reported at 7:30 a.m. in the area of 15th Street and Woodside Avenue. Public police logs did not provide details about the accident. The case was logged as suspected drunken driving.
On Friday, Aug. 9, at 4:03 p.m., a person reportedly stole “a whole bunch of bags” on Main Street. The person left the scene in a car, the police were told.

A school bus reportedly was seen with “multiple chains that are scraping behind it,” resulting in sparks “everywhere” at 1:40 p.m. in the area of Meadows Drive and S.R. 224. The bus was inbound.
A traffic barrel was seen in a travel lane on the S.R. 248 entryway. The police said the barrel created a traffic hazard.
On Thursday, Aug. 8, at 5:23 p.m., water was reported to be leaking from a manhole in the area of the intersection of Park Avenue and 15th Street. The police indicated the case involved a utility issue.
On Wednesday, Aug. 7, at 10:25 p.m., a water leak was reportedly “spewing a ton of water” on Marsac Avenue in the area of the China Bridge garage.
The Police Department at 2:06 p.m., received a report of a case involving the possibility of fraud regarding a rental listing that was seen online. The police indicated the circumstances were suspicious.
A traffic accident was reported along Kearns Boulevard at an unspecified intersection at 8:37 a.m. There were unspecified injuries, the police said.
On Tuesday, Aug. 6, at 10:34 p.m., the police received a complaint from Golden Way, where people were reported to be in a no-parking zone. They were “very nasty,” the police were told.
A vehicle was reportedly left in a Woodside Avenue driveway at 6:15 p.m. The person who contacted the police did not know whose vehicle it was, the agency said. The person wanted police assistance in finding the driver.
A vehicle was reportedly left on a sidewalk on Main Street at 2:55 p.m. The police indicated the vehicle obstructed pedestrians.
On Monday, Aug. 5, at 10:10 p.m., a person was reportedly “using an extremely loud saw” in a parking lot of a Kearns Boulevard business. The police were told it was “after quiet hours and it is keeping the caller up,” according to public police logs. The department classified the case as suspected disturbing the peace.
The Police Department at 10:56 a.m. received a complaint about the stoplight cycle at the intersection of Kearns Boulevard and Comstock Drive appearing “to be excessive.” The police were told traffic was backing up on Kearns Boulevard. The department described the issue as a traffic hazard.
A man, reported to possibly be intoxicated, was heard “yelling” for 10 minutes on Park Avenue. The police categorized the case as suspected disturbing the peace.
