The Park City Police Department continued to respond to complaints about noise, as the community’s summer-tourism season remained busy.

Reports about parties and noise oftentimes signal Park City is busy.

The cases appeared to be similar to typical calls about disturbances. Many of the cases are classified as suspected disturbing the peace.

Some of the recent cases:

  • On Sunday, Aug. 11, at 11:01 p.m., the police were told of a party, described as loud, in a location along Deer Valley Drive. The person who contacted the police apparently represented a property-management firm.
  • On Aug. 11 at 3:22 a.m., people were reported to be “yelling,” “drinking” and “playing games” on Woodside Avenue. The police were told it was the third consecutive night of issues. The person indicated they were on nearby Park Avenue. The police categorized the report as suspected disturbing the peace.
  • On Aug. 11 at 1:39 a.m., the Police Department received a complaint about upward of 10 people “listening to loud music and drinking” on Empire Avenue. They were in a common area and there had been previous issues, the police were told.
  • On Saturday, Aug. 10, at 1:33 a.m., the police received a report of music “blasting” for up to 45 minutes on Lowell Avenue. The person who contacted the police indicated they were unsuccessful in attempting to have them lower the volume. The police classified the case as suspected disturbing the peace.
