The annual Miners Day parade returns Monday, Sept. 2, at 11 a.m. following the annual Running of the Balls down Main Street at 10:45 a.m.

The parade route includes Main Street and Park Avenue and concludes at City Park.

From 6 a.m.-1 p.m. that Monday, vehicles and parking will be removed from Main Street, Swede Alley, Swede Alley surface lots, Heber Avenue and Park Avenue (9th Street to 14th Street). Traffic will be restricted throughout the event. There will be no parking for event activities at the South End of City Park, the Library or on Sullivan Road.

Richardson Flat Park-and-Ride will offer free parking and free transit, with 10-minute frequency starting 9:05 a.m. from Richardson Flat to Old Town Transit Center through 1:15 p.m. from the Old Town Transit Center to Richardson Flat.

Park City School District (Kearns Blvd.) will offer free parking with free transit to and from Old Town.

For paid parking, China Bridge parking structure will be $15 an hour 9 a.m.-1 p.m. There will be free parking in China Bridge after the event until 6 p.m. Main Street and Swede Alley Surface Parking Lots will have standard rates after 1 p.m. Private parking will be available throughout Old Town, with varying regulations, pay structures and costs.

For those with business, carpool or employee permits, pass holders can park in the North Marsac (access via Marsac Avenue) or the Gateway Center upper lots (access via Heber Avenue). Parking may be available in China Bridge if North Marsac and Gateway are full. The Flag Pole lot is unavailable 6 a.m.-1 p.m.

The designated drop-and-load and taxi staging area will be the South Marsac Lot.
