Deputy Daniela Anderson of the Summit County Sheriff’s Office has received the 2024 Park City Elk’s Lodge First Responder of the Year Award.
Deputy Anderson has been with the Summit County Sheriff’s Office since 2022. She began her career in the corrections division and later transferred to the patrol division in late 2023.
“Since her transfer, Deputy Anderson has proven herself to be a valuable asset to both the Patrol Division and Summit County,” reads a post on the Sheriff’s Office’s Facebook page.
Deputy Anderson was an initial volunteer for Sheriff Smith’s community outreach program that formed earlier in 2024. Since then, Anderson has handed out hundreds of informational pamphlets to assist the Hispanic community in understanding domestic violence laws and reporting, how to obtain a driver’s license, how to report crimes and other important community issues.
