Miners Day was Monday, and Park City Rotary has announced who won the mining-themed awards.
“The Park City community gathered to celebrate the spirit of innovation and creativity in honoring the region’s mining heritage,” reads an email from Ember Conley. “We are pleased to announce the winners of the recent awards recognizing outstanding contributions to the celebration of Park City’s mining history.”
Three $1,000 prizes were awarded in the following categories:
- Best Mining Theme: recognizing the best representation of Park City’s mining history.
- Most Original/Creative: celebrating fun and unique approaches to the theme.
- Best Overall Entry: awarded to the community/commercial entry with the highest overall score.
Each prize will be split 50/50 between the winning entry organization and a charitable organization of the winner’s choice, Conley said. All charitable organizations must be registered 501(c)(3) nonprofits operating in Summit County.
Best Overall: Friends of Ski Mountain Mining History

Nonprofit: Egyptian Theatre
- The Egyptian Theatre offers a diverse range of performances and cultural events, contributing to the vibrant arts scene in Park City.
