Puzzle Races

Summer Solstice Celebration

Celebrate the longest day of the year with a flame-to-table alfresco dinner, curated by Executive Chef Senthil with ingredients sourced from the Wasatch Range. The market, flower bar and social hour begin at 6 p.m. and dinner begins promptly at 7 p.m. A cash bar will be open and charged on consumption from 6-10 p.m. June Brothers will perform from 7-10 p.m.

Summer is coming in hot, and we can’t wait to celebrate the Solstice and the full Strawberry Moon in Round Valley! Join Summit Land Conservancy and Mountain Trails Foundation as they gather and grill at the intersection of Seventy 101 and Round Valley Express for a Solstice Moon Shine Social! Swing by with your adventure crew as you hike, bike, or run on the longest day of the year. Expect snacks, cold drinks and cool swag. Spring Wildflower Hike: Evening Session

Join Swaner & Basin Recreation naturalists for a hike on the north side of the preserve to enjoy and learn about the wildflowers in bloom! Terrain is variable and the trails are exposed. Please come prepared with hiking shoes or boots, sun protection and water. There are two time options for these hikes — the morning and evening of June 21.

Summer Solstice Concert and Silent Auction

The event will feature The Discographers, the Shaka Shake food truck and a silent auction, which will benefit the temporary fire station. $5 per ticket will also go toward the station. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door. Attendance for kids under 10 is free. Bring your own beverages, chairs, blankets and sunscreen. Parking is free, but please carpool.

Summer Solstice Train 2024

Celebrate the Summer Solstice with this fun annual Heber Valley celebration! The 90-minute Peace Train departs at 7 p.m. and returns at 8:30 p.m.. Upon return, see a free concert and dancing party at the Heber Valley Railroad featuring the Flashback Brothers Band! Be sure to inform staff 24 hours ahead of time if you are coming as a party to be seated together.

Jordanelle Triathlon

The Jordanelle Triathlon is one of Utah’s premier race venues, with some of the clearest open water, scenic bike courses, and a run course unlike any other event around. You’ll enjoy everything from the river bottom boardwalks in Rock Cliff Recreation Area to the local country backdrop of Francis and Woodland. This race is guaranteed to remind you of why you love the outdoors.

Denver and Rio Grande Railway Historical Hike with David Nicholas

Traverse remnants of the Denver Rio Grande and Western Railway (DR&G) roadbed in Parley’s Canyon. Allow 3.5 hours roundtrip. The hike is moderate to strenuous. Please dress appropriately for the weather and bring sunscreen, snacks, and plenty of water. Hike is for Park City Museum members, who must RSVP with Diane Knispel at education@parkcityhistory.org with the following information: Which hike you would like to go on? Names of people going on the hike. Email address associated with your membership. A contact phone number (preferably a cell phone that you will have with you morning of the hike). Do you need a lift ticket for your hike or not? If you’re not a member, sign up at parkcityhistory.org.

3Kings Water Treatment Plan Ribbon Cutting

Celebrate the new 3Kings Water Treatment Plant, Park City Municipal’s largest infrastructure project ever! Following the ribbon cutting, the public can take a tour of the new facility and enjoy refreshments and live music. No on-site parking is available. Please park at the Park City Mountain base area (and take a City-provided shuttle), walk, bike or take Park City Transit. Dogs are not allowed on site.

Moose on the Loose
